60 Walks for Greenbelt's 60th Anniversary! |
It's wonderful to see Greenbelt properties bustling with activity this winter. Whether on skis, snowshoes, horseback or in plain old boots, Greenbelt's trails offer miles of stark beauty, peaceful solitude, mysterious tracks and plentiful wildlife sightings. This year marks Greenbelt's 60th anniversary, and we're grateful for you - our community - for helping us conserve valuable landscapes and places to explore. To celebrate, President Kate Bowditch has set out to take 60 walks on Greenbelt properties over the course of the year. We invite you to follow along, or even challenge yourself to take 60 walks! |

In Memoriam |
We are saddened by the recent passing of Lily Rice of Wenham. Lily and her husband C.G. were early Greenbelt supporters (C.G. served on the board for many years), and property they owned in Rowley is now conserved as part of Rough Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary. We are also remembering Nan Mathey of Exeter, NH (formerly of Ipswich) who passed earlier this month. A loyal volunteer with Greenbelt's "Mail Crew" for years, Nan was a long-time supporter of Greenbelt and the Osprey Program. Lily B.Rice → Nancy Mathey → |
