Heads-up on Hunting |
The Massachusetts primitive arms deer hunting season is December 16th through 31st (excluding Sundays). Although gun hunting is rarely allowed on Greenbelt Reservations, we recommend you wear orange or other bright colors when visiting Massachusetts trails - Greenbelt's or others - during hunting season. Farmland Workshops |
In early December, Greenbelt hosted the National Young Farmers Coalition and more than 30 guests for Finding Farmland, a workshop on how to find and afford farmland. And on February 26th, Greenbelt will host a Farming Succession workshop for farmers nearing retirement who wish to plan for the future.These workshops are part of Greenbelt's commitment to keep farms farming in Essex County.
