 Another Successful Osprey Season!
This summer, the Osprey pair made famous with Greenbelt's OspreyCam in Gloucester fledged a chick, fondly referred to as River. Quick statistics from the successful 2019 season from East Boston to Salisbury include: 49 nesting pairs, 56 fledglings, 22 banded chicks, more than 25 volunteer monitors and over 1,000 online nest reports!

Castle Neck River Reservation Official Opening on Sept 18
Greenbelt's official public opening of the Castle Neck River Reservation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm, 107 Essex Road (Rt 133), Ipswich. Join us to celebrate with remarks, light refreshments and a walk. Free.

Author and biologist Dr. Alan Poole presented his new book Ospreys: Revival of a Global Raptor at Cox Reservation. Alan gave an exceptional presentation to 38 guests, covering the natural and human-impacted history of Ospreys across the world. Thank you, Dr. Poole, for sharing your work with us!
