Annual Meeting 2019! 
The Greenbelt community enjoyed a memorable Annual Meeting with awards, recognition of 2018 achievements, and remarks from Board Chair Philip Lake, Treasurer Kent Wosepka and Greenbelt President Kate Bowditch. Capping off the evening was an inspirational presentation from IRWA's Wayne Castonguay, the "Great Marsh Adaptation (Resiliency) Plan," that underscored the increasing importance of land conservation in Essex County.

Birds - Bees - Butterflies: Family Pollinator Day Was Buzzing with Activity
Friends of all ages shared a beautiful spring day learning about pollinators, hunting for insects, tasting honey, and making beeswax candles, tool boxes, mason bee houses, hummingbird feeders and more. This day was a huge success thanks to dozens of volunteers and many enthusiastic visitors!

 Haverhill Celebrates its Farmland
Haverhill residents and City Officials gathered to celebrate the generous gift of a Conservation Restriction on local farmland. Thank you to Janice Anton and Barbara DiSalvo for protecting their family farm with this very generous gift of a CR, and to Jim and Cindy Parker for hosting the celebration at their lovely Willow Spring Vineyards.

CPA Votes Pass to Support Land Conservation Projects
Residents voted overwhelmingly to approve CPA funding for land conservation projects in North Andover (Glennie Woodlot) and West Newbury (Brown Spring Farm and River Road). Because CPA money covers only a portion of the cost to purchase these properties, Greenbelt seeks your support to help close the funding gaps.

Annie & Squam
Introducing Annie & Squam, stars of the OspreyCam, named for the Native American term "rock mound" which gave Cape Ann its first name, "Annisquam." Annie laid 3 eggs and does much of the incubating, while Squam brings her fish to eat. A mid-June hatch date is anticipated! Watch our live OspreyCam, and check out the Osprey Virtual Story.
