Bundle up and Get Outside with Greenbelt! From trekking to tracking to taking in the views, a winter's day has a lot to offer when you're exploring with Greenbelt. With almost 50 properties that are open free of charge, from dawn to dusk daily, there's plenty of ground to cover!
Starting this week, Greenbelt's 2022 Film & Lecture Series - "Branching Out: Find Your Connection to Nature" - offers five inspirational insiders' views to unique ways to appreciate nature. Registration is required for each event, we hope to see you there.

Learn how four farmers successfully navigated grant applications and timing to maximize the effectiveness of finding farm funding. On Friday, January 28th, 10 am to noon, this virtual event will be co-hosted by Greenbelt and the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project. FREE, registration is required.

Rebecca Smalley, Senior at Salem State University, is generously contributing her GIS and mapping expertise to help Greenbelt advance exciting new initiatives. Well on her way to earning a combined Bachelors and Masters degree in GIS and Cartography at SSU, Becca's professional goal is to apply her skills to environmental and climate-related work. | In Memoriam |
We're saddened by the passing of Richard S. (Dick) Johnson of Byfield, an important and beloved member of the Greenbelt community for decades. Former President Ed Becker shared, "To my good fortune, Dick was president of the board when I started my career at Greenbelt. He was a great mentor in those early years, and became a lifelong friend. I have many fond memories of sitting with Dick and Pinck at the kitchen table in their Byfield home." Our condolences to the Johnson family.
